WON'T DRAIN OR SPIN

Usually a clogged drain pump, a broken lid switch, a worn drive belt, or a failed control board. Front-loaders also commonly need door boot or door latch service.

WON'T START

A bad lid switch (top-load), a failed door interlock (front-load), a tripped thermal fuse, or a control board fault. We trace the start circuit end to end.

The most common causes are a clogged drain pump (often a coin, sock, or hair clip), a kinked drain hose, or a failed pump motor. We open the pump, clear the obstruction, and verify the full drain path.

Do you repair front-load washer bearings?

Yes. Drum bearing replacement is a major job, but it's worthwhile on most premium front-loaders. We'll give you an honest read on whether the repair makes sense for your specific unit.

How long does washer repair take?

Most repairs are completed in one visit. Special-order parts can require a second trip, but we'll tell you exactly what's needed before any work begins.

What's covered by your warranty?

Is it worth repairing or should I replace it?

For washers under 8 years old, repair is almost always cheaper than replacement, especially with the cost of new high-efficiency units. We give you a straight answer based on the actual problem.

How much does washer repair typically cost?

Most residential washer repairs land between $200 and $600 including parts and labor. Bearing replacements and high-end front-loaders can run higher. We give you a flat-rate written quote before any work begins, and the diagnostic fee is rolled into the repair if you proceed.

Why is my washer making a loud banging or grinding noise during spin?

Usually worn drum bearings, a loose tub balance ring, or a failed shock absorber. Bearings get progressively louder over weeks; a sudden bang is more likely a foreign object (coin, underwire) lodged between the inner and outer tubs. Either way, we diagnose it accurately on the first visit.

Do you offer same-day washer repair?

Whenever we have an opening, yes. Same-day appointments depend on time of day you call and where you are in our service area. Calls before 10am have the best chance. We always confirm a 2 to 3 hour window in advance.

What's the most common washer issue you see?

Clogged drain pumps caused by coins, socks, or underwire bras getting past the filter. It's a quick fix when caught early. We see and resolve this one weekly across both front-load and top-load units.

Why does my front-loader smell like mildew?

The rubber door boot has folds where water and detergent residue collect, and the warm humid environment grows mold. We clean and inspect the boot, advise on prevention, and replace the boot if it's torn or beyond cleaning.

Can you repair smart and Wi-Fi connected washers?

Yes. Samsung SmartThings, LG ThinQ, GE Profile, and Whirlpool Smart washers are all part of our regular work. Most issues are still mechanical (pumps, valves, bearings), but we also handle control board and connectivity faults.

How long do washers usually last?

Standard residential washers average 10 to 14 years. Premium units like Speed Queen and Miele can run 20+ with proper care. If yours is failing inside that window, repair is almost always the right call.

Why is my washer leaking from the bottom?

Usually a worn door boot (front-load), a cracked drain hose, a failed tub seal, or a leaking water inlet valve. We trace the leak to the actual source by running test cycles and watching for the source instead of guessing at it.

Why won't my washer fill with water?

A failed water inlet valve is the most common cause, followed by kinked supply hoses, blocked inlet screens, or a faulty pressure switch. We test the valve, check supply pressure, and inspect the screens before recommending parts.

Will the part be in stock?

Usually yes. The cause is bad shock absorbers (front-load), worn suspension rods (top-load), or an unbalanced load triggering protection mode. We diagnose the suspension system and replace only what's actually failing.

The technician who came out arrived promptly, assessed my washer while answering questions about [average] washer durability by brand [based on what repair technicians were most commonly seeing and/or having to repair + industry experience], determined the issues in short order, and diagnosed & verbally broke down the error codes I was frequently getting. Per my request, a quote to repair it was provided, and the technician was upfront with me about part cost estimates based on brand vs. aftermarket parts, (as the machine was -well- out of the warranty period at this point). Part and labor prices on the quote were quite fair and not marked up excessively [I did some checking to confirm]. I would absolutely work with America's Appliance Repair again in the future, and regret that I delayed writing this review long enough that I don't recall the technician's name to give him personal props.

Zero star stars would be the proper rating for this business. Hearing the manager tell me that they are solely for a profit- Yet would provide me with a good service was an oxymoron. Especially since the service they offered would provide with me less than the contents I would be paying for. I didn’t request anything more than what is included from the item purchasing, at the manufacture price. They were trying to mark up the product, the work and not include all items paid for- THAT’s A THIEF NOT A BUSINESS!!

As a business owner myself the proper thing to do is give people what they pay for. Then provide them with a great level of service and allow them to build your business through a positive interaction, and word-of-mouth. This isn’t what I received and therefore would NEVER recommend them. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.!!!

Nathan repaired our motorhome refrigerator, out of his normal service area. He was knowledgeable and the only company we could get to come out for a Samsung. His price was $700+ above what my warranty company covered. It took a month and 4 trips on his part, but the refrigerator seems to be working properly. Yeah. Still waiting on my warranty company reimbursement check.
